Every expression of power serves to remind us of the ultimate power we have, and can serve to bring us into greater Energetic Integrity.
When we become Empowered in one area of our lives, it serves to make us more powerful in other areas of our lives. When we practice being powerful in one way, it serves to make us powerful in all ways. It serves to build our self-image of being an incredibly powerful person and decreases our fear.
Likewise, when we allow ourselves to be weak in one area of our lives, it serves to disempower us in other areas of our lives. It serves to build on our self-image of being a weak person and increases our fear. That is one of the key reasons that discipline is essential to growth – a lack of discipline teaches us that we are weak at a subconscious level. Being disciplined gives us a sense of control and Empowerment.
It is one of the main reasons that people break rules, laws, and commitments: because cheating and getting away with something makes them feel more powerful. People rebel in order to feel more powerful (The Law of Rebellion). People sabotage those in power in order to feel more powerful by getting back at them in some way (The Law of Sabotage).
And it is the reason we like to play games. Winning a game, or at least playing well, also serves to Empower us and make us feel clever, competent, talented, powerful, and safe. Those who watch us play often live vicariously through us, and feel more Empowered through association. Likewise, we both feel disempowered when we lose or play poorly.
Implementation: Do something right now that is Empowering: exercise, work a puzzle, make a call, complete a project… anything at all. Tune into the way your confidence increases.
